Complaints from individuals received directly or through Ministry or CVC or CBI or PMO
Any individual/stakeholders can make a complaint against the official(s) working in the Directorate General of Shipping and its allied/subordinate offices.
When a complaint is received in the Vigilance Branch, first the letter to the complainant on the name and address mentioned on the complaint, for verification of the complaint, will be issued, wherein the complainant must submit the copy of identity proof. If no reply is received within 15 days from issue of the letter, a reminder letter will be issued with a request to reply within 15 days. If no reply is received to the reminder as well, the said complaint is treated as pseudonymous and filed. If reply is received within prescribed time limit, the complaint is investigated further as per the CVC guidelines.
