RTI Branch of the Directorate General of Shipping is headed by the Nodal Officer. All RTI the applications, online as well as offline, are received by the Nodal Officer of RTI Branch which are then forwarded to the concerned CPIO for disposal within the prescribed time limit. Nodal Officer monitors the timely disposal of the application.

All Appeals on the RTI replies issued by CPIO, online as well as offline, are received by the Nodal Officer of RTI Branch, which are then forwarded to the concerned First Appellate Authority for examination and disposal within the prescribed time limit.Nodal Officer monitors the timely disposal of the Appeals.

The Quarterly Report on the RTI Applications and RTI Appeals is prepared submitted /uploaded to Chief Information Commission online on its website https://cic.gov.in.

Nodal Officer assigns the ID and Password to the CPIOs and FAA of the Directorate & its allied and subordinate offices and do the necessary amendments, wherever required.
